Veggie Medley Puree

Sometimes, my baby gets gassy. I read that it could be the foods that I had eaten, that I then passed on to my baby while breastfeeding. When my daughter was around the 6-7 month mark, I wanted to start feeding her more solids. We started with any vegetable that was yellow or orange – which she loved. Sweet potatoes were our first vegetable that we fed Elle. I also had read that sweet potatoes were a great one to start with because it could help with their digestion. And as a bonus, it tastes sweet. She was an instant fan.

Other vegetables that can help with digestion are carrots, green beans, peas, and squash. Once I knew my baby was not allergic to any of these vegetables, I loved swapping them out and adding one with another. I would play with her food and she had no idea how much fun it was in return to see her reactions. I took pride in making each puree, knowing exactly what types of healthy ingredients I was adding into my baby’s tiny body. I am truly blessed that we have a healthy household and that our daughter is happy and healthy. Like mom always said, “Eat your veggies and you will stay healthy.”
