Turkey and Orange Puree

Yes, I love the holidays, but even randomly throughout the year, I love to bake a fresh turkey from time to time. One of my favorite things? Adding ingredients that I know and love in between the skin of the bird. So good!!

My go-to seasonings include thyme, rosemary and lemons. You want the meat nice and juicy, so I rub extra virgin olive oil all over and even add a few butter cubes inside the skin. And my favorite trick is using lemons (or even oranges) stuffed into the cavity of the bird. This makes for a flavorful and juicy turkey.

Yes, it might be too soon for turkey all over again, but keep this in mind, especially when looking for creative dishes your little one can enjoy, too.

While making this week’s puree for my daughter, I wanted to add those ingredients together for her in this super easy and very tasty mix. It makes me feel like the Holidays every time I eat this combination, and I hope she feels the same way, too!

Turkey and Orange Puree

  • 4 oz or 1/2 cup of fresh turkey breast, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 orange, peeled

  1. Add both ingredients to your Baby Bullet Batch Bowl and blend until smooth.
  2. Add a tablespoon of water to smooth out, if necessary.
  3. Enjoy!
