Pear and Spinach Puree

Pears are a good source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. This sweet fruit is easy for babies to digest, can also help in healing wounds faster, and can stimulate the immune system. You can mash ripe pears or cube them so your baby can reach out and grasp them. It’s also recommended to steam the pears which will help break down the sugar. You can steam them in the easy-to-use Baby Bullet Steamer.

When you mix spinach with the pear, it becomes an even more healthy puree for your little one. Spinach also has vitamins and minerals. It cures gastric disorders, protects the liver, cures urinary disorders and is a natural laxative.

You can introduce the pear around the 8-10-month mark. Although when feeding any new first foods to your baby, make sure you just feed that one type of food for 3 days straight. If you do not see any signs of allergies or rashes around the mouth or hands after 3 days, then you know your baby is clear of an allergy to that food. But it’s always good to consult your doctor when starting firsts foods.
