Peach Banana Quinoa Puree

The peach is a perfect fruit that pairs great with granola, yogurt, ice cream, crepes, and even as a sauté for grilled chicken. I decided to add it with the cereal-like quality of quinoa for not just the health benefits that quinoa has, but it also binds the peach and banana nicely for a puree. Your little one will get a combo of great nutrients of the banana (manganese, fiber), quinoa (iron, vitamin E, potassium), and peach (vitamin C, beta carotenes) in a very delicious treat.

Sometimes I will make a big batch of this recipe and freeze it into popsicle molds. These make the perfect snack for baby not only to cool down while playing outside, but for those teething teeth that are pushing through. This recipe is a win win! Also, I love knowing what I am feeding my babies. So this gives you peace of mind that it’s not some high fructose popsicle or random food coloring dyes.

Peach Banana Quinoa Puree

Ingredients

  • 1 peach (peeled and sliced)
  • 1 banana (diced)
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa

Instructions

  1. In the Baby Bullet add all of the ingredients and blend till smooth.
  2. Add 1-2 tbs water if the puree is to thick.
