Kale Apple Mango Puree

This is a creative blend of baby food. I came up with it one night when I needed to make my little one some food and this is all I had in the fridge. Don’t you just love those days when the fridge is dwindling empty and you have to find your creative juices in order to make a new round of food for next week? NO! No one is excited about that!

Well, I had some kale, which is great for brain development, and left in the fruit drawer were apples and mangos, so I figured they would add the sweetness that my daughter loves.

Kale Apple Mango Puree

  • 1-2 cups of kale
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 organic apple
  • 1/2 mango

  1. Remove the kale’s stems and rinse.
  2. Add water to a saucepan and heat. Add the kale and let it boil for about 2 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of the liquid. (You won’t use it all.)
  3. Add the kale to your Baby Bullet.
  4. Peel and dice your apple and mango.
  5. Add them to your Baby Bullet.
  6. Add 1 Tbsp of the reserved water.
  7. Blend well. Add more water 1 Tbsp at a time if the puree is to thick.
