Butternut Squash Apple Sauce Puree

Come fall and winter, butternut squash begins to flood the grocery stores. It’s a great puree to have on hand because it blends so nicely when cooked, and it can pair well with both sweet and savory flavors! This puree is perfect for babies just being introduced to foods, as the flavors are pretty mild with a hint of sweetness.

Butternut Squash Apple Sauce

  • 1 cup frozen or fresh butternut squash
  • 1 gala apple, chopped. (peeled if desired.)

  1. Steam produce over a pot for 10-15 minutes until soft.
  2. Add to the Baby Bullet Blender and puree until soft. You can use a little of the cooking water to puree to desired consistency if needed.
