Avocado Cinnamon Pear Puree

Elle, my 9-month-old daughter, has been eating so many varieties of food lately. She became a pro at eating avocados when she was 6 month old, but now I like to spice up the flavors and add combinations to her purees. The other day, I baked cinnamon pears as a snack and realized they would be so good to add to Elle’s food – so that’s just what I did!

Our food journey so far has consisted of purees, and now she loves the Nom Noms teether wafers. They are made with organic fruit and vegetable bits that are easy to dissolve for her. It seems that the extra crunch helps massage her gums as she is teething. I am going to create something similar soon from scratch for you, but for now, let me tell you how I made my pears.

Don’t forget, Moms, these pears are a perfect snack for you, too!

Clean and dry an organic pear, cut it in half, and core out the center while removing the seeds and stringy middle fibers. Place the pear skin-side up on a baking sheet and sprinkle it with cinnamon. Place it in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Let the pear cool. Take it to-go as a snack for yourself, or dice it up and add to baby’s favorite puree. That’s what I did here with Elle’s avocado puree.
