Apple Avocado Broccoli Puree

Are you researching a new puree to feed your baby? If so, then you’ve come to the right place. With so many recipes on the internet, it can be easy to fall in love with your baby’s favorite. I want to inspire and encourage you that you can take that favorite puree and put a new spin on it.

I love making my own applesauce for baby. Especially since apples are considered one of the dirty dozen fruits because it’s a fruit that has the most pesticides used on it. So, I always grab organic when picking apples. I then take the time to wash the peel really well. Blend in the baby bullet with some breastmilk or water for instant applesauce.

In this recipe I also added avocado. Avocado is my favorite go-to for my baby. It’s great on it’s own and as an easy puree. Sometime I cut an avocado in half and place it in a ziplock bag that I would take with me on my walk around the park when my daughter was a baby. I would set up a picnic in the shade and the two of us would share the avocado together.

I would start introducing broccoli around the 8-10 month old mark. As healthy as broccoli is, it can cause gas. So, don’t forget when feeding your baby a new food to make sure to just feed that one type of food for 3 days straight. If you do not see any signs of allergies or rashes around the mouth or hands after 3 days, then you know your baby is clear of an allergy to that food. But it’s always good to consult your doctor when starting firsts foods.
